The comic’s stories follow Harley Chambers as he kicks through the futuristic City of Nawlz, engaging in overlays of virtual realities, mind-bending drugs and other strange techno-cultures.
Nawlz depicts a new world of youth culture where technology is so advanced that, with a quick tune into Sunderlevel, personal soundscapes are augmented with surround sound, holographic overlays and multi-sensory interactive experiences.
Stu studied art, drama and audiovisuals at Hellyer College, Burnie. The major influences on his work have been science fiction writers William Gibson and Phillip K Dick and Japanese manga artists Katshuhiro Otomo and Shirow Masamune.
His favourite music is electro, jungle and punk. Beyond Nawlz, Stu has created multimedia installations for the Australian National Museum, pilot training programs for the Australian military and illustrations for skateboards and snowboards.
