Founding his company “Sisu” in 1996, Simon’s work encompasses a range of materials including ceramics, metal, wood and felt which he uses to explore, clarify and emulate material gestures within the objects he produces.

The driving motivation in all his work continues to revolve around material behaviour, experimentation and process. While the outcomes are often purely functional they are led in part by the behavioural qualities of the material especially those with texture, grain and fibre which suggest or direct ways by which working and construction may take place.

His desire is to re-think a way of living and re-establish our links with society and the environment.
