Russell studied Graphic Design at the Art Center College of Design, and has since been with Adobe for over 24 years, and is currently the Senior Creative Director, contributing mainly to the development of Adobe Photoshop – particularly feature enhancements, advanced script, and recently, the flash panel development, helping the world’s leading creatives master Adobe tools.
He created many entertaining and creative instructional videos, testing the creative limits of his tools, culminating in an Emmy Award in 2000 for his acclaimed series Dr. Brown’s Photoshop Laboratory.
His entertaining series of Photoshop tips and tricks have also been widely published in Design Graphics Magazine and the Photoshop User Magazine. He is one of the Adobe Evangelists, connecting the user and the software developer, and has always said that ‘learning about Adobe Photoshop should never be boring’.
