Paul Marcus Fuog

One of the bright lights of the graphic design scene, Paul Fuog of Melbourne applies his talents across art direction, identities, packaging, poster, editorial and exhibition projects. His work is always current and often personal, informed by observation and a curiosity about contemporary culture. Initially commencing his career in fine arts, exploring both drawing and sculpting, Paul was motivated by the problem-solving aspect of graphic design and he crossed the divide from art to commerce in 1996.

Since then he has remained committed to approaching commercial projects with artistic energy. Paul has undertaken a variety of projects ranging from small art-based briefs to expansive design commissions. Driven by pride and passion, experimentation is always at the core of his practice and constraints are explored in optimistic and creative ways, resulting in inventive new directions. Collaboration with other designers is a constant source of renewal and inspiration, and the success of Paul’s studio has been built on lasting partnerships with creative and commercial clients, government and educational institutions. Among his new works are design projects for The Victorian College of the Arts, Object Gallery, Chunky Move Contemporary Dance Company, The City of Melbourne, State of Design Festival and Rooftop Cinema.
