Dr Nurin Veis was the Senior Curator of Human Biology and Medicine at Museum Victoria, Melbourne. She has been developed exhibitions such as the Human Body and the Mind: Enter the Labyrinth, which was the winner of Best Exhibition in 2007 at the ArtsVic Portfolio.
Dr Veis has a background in biochemistry, immunology and cell biology. Prior to Museum Victoria, Dr Veis worked as a post-doctoral medical researcher in Melbourne and in New York. She has experience in the ethical display of human remains, and is currently an Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Grant recipient, researching ethical guidelines for the display of artworks by people experiencing mental illnesses.
In 2013, Dr Veis was appointed Manager of Scienceworks.
