James Brown is the founder of A Splash of Colour Tattooing, which specialised in high quality custom tattooing.
James studied at Buckley Park High School and then at Buckley Park College before joining the Australian Defence Force between 1981 to 1987.
James established A Splash of Colour Tattooing in 1989, creating detailed custom tattooing for people in Melbourne.
He sold the business to Rick Almond in 2005 after being key to building up the business’ reputation for good quality tattooing.
Along with his work in custom tattooing, James is currently the Co-ordinator of the Mornington Peninsula Sea Shepherd division, as well as being a deckhand and part of the deck crew on some of the Sea Shepherd campaigns, where he is responsible for overall cleaning and maintenance.
