A self-confessed Nipponophile, Melbourne-based Illustrator Andrea Innocent has an eye for the quirky and the eccentric. Her idiosyncratic works fuse contemporary art and socio-political comment with more traditional influences. Andrea’s current work explores aspects of Japanese popular culture from an Australian perspective.
Andrea’s career began in the field of fashion and textiles, where she moved on to photography, interactive media and animation. While living in Japan, she developed a strong style, involving colour and graphics blended with photographic and textural elements.
She is represented by the Jacky Winter Group, and her clients include the Melbourne Recital Centre, Cadbury Australia, Rolling Stone Magazine, the Age, Clemenger BBDO and many others.
