Adrian McGregor

Adrian McGregor is a landscape architecture, urban design professional and Managing Director of McGregor Coxall. A Sydney-based environmental design studio, he has been honoured with inclusion on the ‘Creative Catalysts’ list of Sydney’s 100 most creative people.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 1988, Adrian began his career in Sydney and then worked in North America and the UK. He founded mcgregor+partners (now McGregor Coxall) in 1998.

The firm has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Topos International Landscape Architecture Practice of the Year 2009, presented in Reykjavík, Iceland, in recognition of its environmental design work.

In 2006, Adrian founded the Biocity Studio, a research group dedicated to the development and free publication of open source urban sustainability resources. The group also runs an annual Biocity Studio course in the School of the Built Environment at the University of New South Wales. Adrian is passionate about environmental sustainability, contemporary design and the future of our cities and public spaces. His design and mediation skills have been successfully applied to many complex projects, bringing communities, authorities and developers together.

He has lectured and written many articles on landscape architecture, cities and the environment.
