Biography
Professor Scott Thompson-Whiteside is the Dean for the School of Design at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. Since 2005 Scott has been an Associate Dean, Deputy Dean and been responsible for the leadership and management of international partnerships, courses and staff. Scott has extensive experience in teaching and managing courses, departments and schools in the UK, Malaysia, and Australia. In 2006 he won the Vice-Chancellor’s award for teaching excellence in the area of design management. Scott’s Research intersects the disciplines of education, higher education policy, design and innovation. His PhD is from The University of Melbourne at the Centre for the Study of Higher Education.
