Biography
Professor George Cairns qualified as an architect in the UK and worked on a wide range of design projects, from social housing in Glasgow to strategic design with DEGW, for multinational companies including British Airways and American Express. As Professor of Management in the UK and Australia, he has worked with scenario methods; in research, teaching and consultancy projects. Working with research teams, scenario projects include; e-government futures, the future of the farm, an Australian Federal government funded project on post-carbon futures for the Latrobe Valley, and an ARC Discovery project on post-industrial futures in Tasmania.
