Dr Kanjanabootra practised as a design engineer in the construction industry prior to completing his PhD on Engineering business process modelling in 2011, and has worked in the Australian Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre, as CI for a major project ($288,000) for industry and state governments on the economic value in construction. He researches on improving efficiency and cost effectiveness in construction practices dealing with different scenarios in construction in Australia, Vietnam and Thailand.
Industry Experience
Prior to my PhD study, I worked as Design Mechanical Engineer in construction in an international construction and engineering consulting firm, Meinhardt Thailand, from 2004 until 2008. The construction projects I worked on were residential and commercial applications ranging from Shopping Centres, factories, large scale apartment buildings, to hotels, both designing mechanical solutions within these projects, project managing construction processes, and negotiating with architects, buidlers, engineers, quantity surveyors and interior designers on those construction sites. These construction projects were both in Thailand and other South East Asian countries.
