History

agIdeas is one of the longest running and most highly respected design programs in the world. The program is the brainchild of celebrated Australian designer and visionary Ken Cato, AO, who curates the program with support from an advisory group of 50 international design leaders. The program evolved with endorsement from Alliance Graphique Internationale AGI, one of the world’s most prestigious Design industry bodies after the first meeting of AGI in Australia in 1991.

agIdeas presents a design masters series that offers a world class experience and explores the philosophy, strategy and processes behind leading design practices and how they build advantage for business and society. The program offers inspiration, builds knowledge and skills and provides opportunity for interaction and connection with the global design industry. agIdeas creates a unique chemistry from the unrehearsed conversations that evolve throughout the experience and unique in its diversity, scale, audience groups and commitment to showcasing international design excellence.

The program is targeted towards:
Designers who strive for excellence in creating innovative solutions that are based on an understanding of the multiplicity of human existence, have a desire to draw on knowledge and research across disciplines and who execute work with diverse, disruptive and adaptive creative practices.
